26日下午2点左右，在宜安公路附近路段，两辆半挂车相撞，现场惨烈，其中一辆车的车头严重变形，导致一名驾驶员双腿被压，送医院后双腿均被截肢。
接到报警后，宜春市交警支队直属二大队彬江中队民警第一时间赶到现场，对事故进行处理。随后120急救人员赶到，紧急将受伤驾驶员送往医院。经询问，受伤司机为周某，另一名司机为张某。据司机张某讲述事发情况，当时他在路面正常行驶，突然发现前方一辆半挂车呈蛇形向他驶来，而且速度很快，他尽力避让但还是躲闪不及，对方半挂车的车头撞到他的车斗，导致对方车头受损严重。
经查，司机周某当时从吉安市安福县方向开往宜春，经过宜安公路新坊路段时正是中午，有点犯困，反应迟钝，加之当时所处路段突然变窄又是弯道，会车存在危险。周某事后描述，他发现对方有来车时便踩下了刹车，但由于自己车速过快，车辆刹不住，最后还是撞上了对方车的车斗。事故发生后，周某车辆的驾驶舱变形，双腿被压，受伤严重。
7月31日，民警表示，据从医院了解到张某的双腿已经进行了截肢手术。目前，事故正在进一步调查处理中。交警提醒经过宜安公路的司机：宜安公路坡道长，弯道多，切勿疲劳驾驶，长时间驾驶请合理休息；司机行车前请提前检查刹车系统，保证车况良好。
