动词短语是由动词和介词、副词、名词等构成的，在句中作谓语。121. respond to回应
用法：respond to多用于对情况的回应或反应,与reply to区别是replyto一般用于书信回复中。
例句：How did the woman’s students respond to her way of teaching English?
这位女士的学生如何回应她教英语的方式?
语法结构分析： the woman’s students是主语（the和 woman’s是两个前置定语），how did respond to 是谓语，her way of teaching English是宾语（her 是前置定语，of teaching English是of结构的词组作后置定语）。
122. result from因……而出现/产生
用法：result from后常跟名词或者动名词，在句中作独立的谓语成分。
例句：Little improvement in education has resulted fromincreased spending. (12月四级)
支出的增加很少能够带来教育上的改进。
123.result in导致
用法：result in指的是结果，而result from指的是原因。
例句：This result in severe penalties.
这可能会导致严厉的处罚。

用法：run for后经常跟表示职位的名词。
