Design the new trucks for the three brands, and follow their life cycle. Volvo Powertrain: Specialized in the engine production of the vehicles. Volvo Parts: Optimisation of the logistic issues from the supplier to the customer, and of the after sales service. Volvo Logistics: Management of the logistic systems (stocks, transfer of pieces…) from the command to the shipment. Volvo Information Technology (IT): Design, development and deployment of IT services and application to serve the different business areas. * KOLA is an acronym for KOnstruktionsdate LAstvagnar which can be translated to “Design-data-Trucks”. KOLA is a PDM (Product Data Management) System, used within 3P, Powertrain and Volvo Bus for documenting design solutions. KOLA is also used at Mack and Renault together with their Legacy systems. Powertrain Mack and Renault use KOLA fully.
